Professor George Yule

Chairman

A qualified mechanical engineer George has more than four decades as a senior executive in the offshore energy sector including ownership of high technology business operating internationally. A previous winner of the high-accolade Industrialist of the Year award, he is also a Board member of the University of Aberdeen Development Trust and a past President of the Aberdeen Chamber of Commerce.

Managing Director

A “hands on” MD who retains a blend of practical and intellectual skills, Ralph joined the company in 1993 and has travelled across many of the global energy locations for more than four decades servicing clients needs and building sustainable relationships. Ralphs main areas of focus are on design, product development, and enhancing Scotgrip’s manufacturing and production capabilities.

Mark Prise

Operation Director

A qualified design draftsman who has worked in the energy industry for three decades, Mark joined Scotgrip in 1998 to provide technical support to the fast-growing business. His principal responsibilities within the company now cover the commercial and administration side of the business including IT, HR and QHSE. Mark is also the company’s focal point for aspects associated with IP protection of product design and branding.

Sam Harding

Sam Harding

Business Development Manager and Senior Surveyor

Originally a qualified aircraft engineer in the RAF and who experienced active service in Afghanistan, Sam joined Scotgrip in 2019 in a Sales and BD role. Having made the transition from Forces into the UK energy industry, he is the external sales and account liaison / point of contact for customers and also fulfils a key role for Scotgrip as senior surveyor where a site survey requires our laser 3D technology to be deployed.

Liam Robertson

Liam Robertson

Production Team Leader

Liam joined Scotgrip in 2004 as a manufacturing technician with the production group and has held several roles since then, developing his own skill-set and knowledge of the business. Liam is a key member of a high calibre manufacturing team at Scotgrip whose work ethic, attention to detail and high standards culminated in him being promoted into the supervisory position as Team Leader in 2019.
